I’m Dena Gardella - a colorist and BALAYAGE artist drawn to creating soft, natural, color that feels uniquely yours.

 

I read people the way I read hair: their style, their energy, their vibe - and I paint color that reflects who they are.

After nearly a decade of owning a busy, beautiful salon in Riverside, I felt a pull to return to the heart of my craft. To slow down, create with intention, and trade running a business for doing what I love most.

 

This move is a full-circle moment. I’ve come back to the very first salon I ever worked in, now as an independent artist inside Pirri Hair Studio on Greenwich Avenue!  The Pirri brothers’ Italian charm fills the space with warmth and hospitality, adding to the creative, welcoming vibe of the studio.

 

I don’t cut hair, but I’m happy to point you toward haircut stylists I trust and love. Just ask. I’ll make sure you’re in great hands!
